I've been silent for awhile.
Yes, I know most of you are laughing at that.
Ok, silent on this blog!   But life is happening and it's
just way too much fun to stop and try to post something.
Yet, I don't want to forget the delightful little moments
that make me want to freeze time and capture all the
amazing goodness of God and stick it in a frame
to be remembered every day.
Grace Diversified's first two concerts went.....
in my personal opinion, terrible.  Everything that could
go wrong seemed to!  God had other plans though and
blessed me through them both more than I thought possible.
Continue to say a prayer for our group in the days ahead.
We are so very excited for what is to come!
You have no idea how absolutely happy it makes me to
bless dear, sweet folks who don't get the privilege of hearing
good music on a regular basis.  You have no idea how much fun
it is to watch your siblings get a kick out of singing to
absolute strangers :) I have never seen them, or myself have
so much fun with other programs.  This one, for sure, has
taken the cake :)

This guy is.... a blast!  Five years ago,
he was Jon and I's constant waiter at a lil Mexican
restaurant in town.  Over the last few years,
we've had the privilege of getting to know him
and his sweet wife, only to find ourselves in their
living room a few weeks ago, playing 3D games :)
Be careful how you tip your next waiter... they may
end up being your next best friend!

Jon & his silly, dorky 3D glasses :)
Remember that wreath I was working on???
Slightly crooked here, but didn't cost me a dime :)

I'm in LOVE with our garden this year!
Not a weed in sight and everything looks sooo

This picture was from awhile ago, but I'm going
stir crazy!  I so wish I hadn't quit working... I only
have a few summer students.  So, that means that
all my time is spent organizing, cleaning, cooking,
working out and feeling like a lazy bum!
Maybe God has triplets in my future?

These kids graduated.  I know!  I want to cry too.
I used to tie their lil shoes... at least I can still cut
their hair :)

I love this picture.  These kids have all been through
a LOT this year.  Yet, just the other night, one of
them reminded Jon and I how good God has been.
Say a prayer for them, please.  Pray for the men of our
generation.  They are hit on every side by a million
distractions.  A thousand disappointments. A hundred

We had a little stroke scare with this marvelous lady
over Memorial Day.  It was a reminder to keep
short hold of grudges.  To stop and take a picture; for
next birthday, she may not be here.  To listen to
every word that comes out of her beautiful self.
Another lil "Fender Bender" with above brother
was also a good reminder that God is indeed watching
over His own.  That every time my husband gets in
his truck, he may not come back. To keep my words
and actions in check.  To hold on tight, and to forgive.

On the baby front, our lil person
has eight weeks left before they
make their appearance :)

Mommy Post

I absent mindedly posted on a facebook mommy page
awhile back regarding finding some adorable
nursing bras.  Within minutes, I had several ladies
contact me asking WHERE on earth did you get them???
Yes, I was among the horrified teenagers of my generation
seeing the washed out white and ratty tat nude colored
nursing bras going, "Gross"!  To this day, I do not own
a white bra.  My husband is a welder.  Nough said.
Ok.... so here's the scoop.
You want major support.
You want straps that are NOT going to give you nightmares.
You want wide bands that do NOT ride up.
You want to spend less than 50$.
Last but not least, You want a sexy, beeeutiful bra.
They have tons of stuff on clearance constantly.
Prices range from $25 to $50.
They will get to your door within a week.
Returns are a cinch.
And... they give you a free gift :)
Here's another link:
A little more pricey but they have some
pretty stinken adorable ones :)
Sooo....  I was made aware
by a few select males and females in
various amusing conversations that the
whole nursing pad idea.... was super smart.
Modest. and overall just a good idea.
Something you should never leave home without.
I had leftover fabric scraps of pink soft lace, super soft orange,
and absorbent white.
I had enough material to make 11.
Figured it would be great to stick a few
in the diaper bag, bedroom, and babies room.
Sorry about no pictures... My phone is acting up :(
Happy Mothering :)

Scatter Brained :)

My Spring Cleaning Adventures are still
in progress.   Currently, the yard desperately
needs a weed wacking so here in short is my last
week of life:
Project:  Seat Belt covers for the car.
J has some traumatizing memories of
babies, formula, cheerios, and apple juice
in vehicles.  So...  I had extra vinyl fabric
left over from my diaper project so two seat belt covers
and a back seat cover are in the works!

25 Weeks!

Another lesson learned this week.  Kind words.
God, give me more!  Please!
After enjoying a blissful almost three months
of 50 hour work weeks, my dear husband is back
to the crazy grind of life.  More than likely for the
rest of the year.  He mentioned the other evening that
the next two weeks were going to be really rough.
I asked if there was anything I could do to ease
the load and was kind of surprised at his response:
"Just be understanding, and listen to my rantings
and ravings."
Simple huh?  He asks for so little.  Ya, I want
to tell him all about my day and express my
frustration when he is too tired to eat or even
sleep at times, but that's not what he needs.   So,
I've been praying for me friends.  Praying that
I'll be understanding at midnight.  Praying that
I'll be his soundboard :)
Last Project note:
Summer Wreath
Almost completed!
I find this one kind of odd but
it's the idea I'm going for with
my scraps of material :)
Happy Thursday!

Spring Cleaning Post #1

So I told God all my spring cleaning plans...
and He laughed :)  And that is why I have not
yet posted daily.  Below is quick update.  I've
had so much fun learning what products clean
better and my house is slowly but surely getting
there.  Little by Little.
#1 Trashcans
Emptied and threw in the tub with
laundry detergent and a few drops of
pinesol.  Let soak for 15 minutes, scrubbed
down and put on back porch to dry!
#2 Washer
1/2 Cup Baking Soda
1/2 Cup Vinegar
1/2 Cup Bleach
1/2 Cup Laundry Detergent
Filled halfway and scrubbed inner and outer
belts, crevices, and any protruding rubber.
Finished filling and let sit 2 hours before
running extra rinse.
#3 Dryer
Swept out vent ducts.
Scrubbed inside with 1 TB vinegar and
1 TB Pinesol.  Threw vent in tub with
same solution and let sit then dry!
#4 Curtains
Easy Peasy
Wash, Dry, and Hang Immediately!
#5 Walls
2TB Laundry Detergent (love that stuff)
2 TB Pinesol
1TB Bleach
Mix in HOT water and scrub walls.
Fresh and Clean!
Project #1 Couch Pillows
I wanted some pillow covers that
I could take off easily and throw in the
wash.  (Thanks dear puppy)  So, free material
+ free cotton stuffin = 0$ Couch Pillows!
Project #2 Bedskirt.
I somehow managed to tear my favorite purple
sheet set so I took the top sheet and some tulle.
Gather and sewed onto old bedskirt top = Yay!
Project #3 Bag Holder
Simple.  I took a two foot piece of material.  One
seam down the middle.  Turned over edges. Threaded
elastic through both ends.  Added a loop holder for
hanging on the wall.  :)

Spring Cleaning

I've developed a habit for when my husband
goes out of town.  I CLEAN like a madwoman.
Seriously.  It's not that I hate to clean the rest of the
month, its just I despise the deep clean stuff.
I'm super excited about his next trip... not that
I like him to go away but my dear bro's will be
on spring break and able to help me move the
million and one things that I've been fantasizing
about putting somewhere ELSE!
So, I have created a six day plan.  (Monday thru Saturday)
If you wish to keep posted, I plan on posting each
day because I want it on record for this fall's cleaning.
In the meantime, I am prepping which is even
more fun :)  Lol Secretly stowing away new paint.
My Mum just gave me some gorgeous material
for new couch pillows.
Also, a new door wreath is in the works!
My cooking pans may also get a makeover.
Ok, now I'm super stoked :)
Feelin all Proverbs 31ish
She opens her mouth with wisdom,
And on her tongue is the law of kindness.
She watches over the ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.

Husband Printables :)

Printables have become one of my bestest friends lately.
Let's face it, dragging all the scrapbook stuff to make your
husband lil love notes is just a lot of work :)
Since my guy is out of town quite often, one of my
habits has been to stick fun notes in his suitcase.
Ok.... AND my bedroom d├ęcor is getting so boring.
So, it's always to fun to find printables that you can
stick in a frame and hang on the wall just to
change things up a bit.
Who can find a virtuous wife?
For her worth is far above rubies.
 The heart of her husband safely trusts her;
So he will have no lack of gain.
She does him good and not evil
All the days of her life.
